I got an old fridge which used to work fine until 3 days ago when I decided to get rid of the ice in the freezer not by unplugging the fridge and let the ice melt but instead used the violent and fast way of breaking tons of ice. Took me like half an hour to 1 hour. I don't know if it is important but it was a very hot day. Since then, the fridge is fine but the freezer is not working.
Anyone can explain what happened :( and HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM...

Thanx

Most refrigerators get cold by moving air from the dreezer into the fridge. So with those appliances, if the freezer isn't cold, the fridge isn't cold.

So since your freezer isn't working, then I'd first want to know how cold does it get? Also, have you checked the door seals to make sure you are getting a tight seal all the way around the freezer door?

Is it possible that you punctured the tubing in the freezer?
