dishwasher puddling

WE have a Maytag dishawasher. After it washes, anywhere from a few hours to a day or two later water puddles at the bottom of the dishwasher. The Maytag repairman says it result because the dishwasher is hooked up to through our reverse osmosis unit. The installer of the ro unit says this is nonsense because the ro unit is hooked up to the cold water and the dishwasher is hooked up to the hot water.
Has anyone else ever had a similar problem and if so how was it solved

Are we talking about water inside the dishwasher or under it?

But I agree that the reverse osmosis should have nothing to do with it. Your DW is connected to the hot water.

If you have water inside the DW, then I'd suspect a leaky water inlet valve. But that would have been so easy for a technician to diagnose I can't imagine he could miss it. So he may have ruled it out.
