Ice Maker

My Whirlpool side by side Refrigerator had the coating coming off the ice mode so I went to lowe's and got ba new ice maker. Now it does not freeze the ice solid, it has water in it and it breaks up and the water go's in the tub.

Model Number would help...

I could be a bad IceMaker...

There's a Thermostat in the IceMaker that only makes Ice when the Freezer is cold enough.
