Low Cold Water Pressure

When I first turn on the cold water to my washing machine the pressure is strong then it drops to a very low drizzle. When I detached the cold water hose from my machine and attached a lawn water hose to the cold water side to see if the pressure would be strong and then drop but it didn't drop it remained strong but when I attached the hose back onto my washing machine the water pressure was strong then dropped really low again. I bought a new front load washing machine and it is still doing the same thing.

What can I do to troubleshoot this problem.

First off, check the filter screens in the hose, both ends. A sediment build up could be the problem. Next make sure the hose isn't becoming kinked when in the normal position (as opposed to having the washer pulled out with you looking at it).

Next check the filter screen in the washer's inlet valve (where you connect the hose.

Those are the most likely causes.
