The tub fills up with water then it pops the 15 amp circit at the fuse box. I hand drained the water & same thing happened. Could this be a short in the timer. I took off the covers and couldn't see any bad wires. I also changed the circitbreaker. Model # 110 27612600

Either that or a bad washer motor. When it stops filling does it trip the breaker as soon as it goes to start the washer motor? I'd also look for burned/shorted wires.
If you put it straight to spin cycle, does it spin or short out? Maybe something is stuck under the wringer like a rag or sock causing the motor to trip out on high amps.
Thank you for your answers so far. Yes the circit breaks as soon as it tries to wash. On rinse it agitates fine. When it gets to spin it hums and then I could smell something. Hoping something was stuck I took washer apart, agitator out, top off, case off. I cann't get inner tub out . Looks like a spanner nut that won't come off(don't want to break ).Where should I go from here?

The Timer sends the voltage to the Start and the Run Windings of the Motor.
During Wash or Spin, the Start Windings of the Motor are reversed.
It could be a bad contact in the Timer, not sending both Start or Run voltages.
If you could check some voltages at the Washer Motor.
