kenmore icemaker running water

I have a 4yr or older Kenmore refrigirator-106.74259400 whose icemaker began to make much more noise for about a week or so, usual noises but louder and continuous, the end result being that water began to run from the the teeth of the icemaker as it discharged ice...I use a well and there is some mineral in the water...what could this be? thanks jim

If you are saying that water is running from the fill tube in the back and it is continuous, then your inlet valve is bad. If the ice maker teeth are breaking unfrozen cubes and water spills out, then the next question is, are the tetthe moving continuously and never stopping?
