Kenmore Elite Washer model 110-21082

The washer drum no longer spins during the wash/rinse cycles. The drum turns slightly, stops, starts to spin, stops, and stays on the same estimated time remaining for hours. The drum starts to fill with water but it stops when the drum stops turning. There is a slight buzzing sound when the drum isn't turning. Could this be a problem with the sensor or does it sound like a motor problem?

How's the Belt ?

I'm waiting on one of my brothers-in-law to come by to help me take the washer apart to get at the belt and sensor. I'm not mechanically oriented so I need the guidance. How easy is it to remove the front of the washer?

The cabinets are made to allow access for repairs. It isn't difficult to open.
