GE Medallion gas dryer

For as long as I can remember my dryer has only worked only on timed dry. On the other cycles the drum will turn but not produce heat. Lately, even on timed dry it will only produce heat for about 15-20 minutes and then just run with no heat. I can't afford a new one. Any ideas. Thanks.

Yes the holding coils on the gas valve are most likely getting weak. That is faily inexpensive repair. I would also advise to be sure that the vent has good airflow to the outside. Tom www.applianceeducator.com
