Electrolux cannister vacuum - circa 1980.

How do I take it apart? Motor is running at a lower rpm with low suction. There is also a burning smell. Please help.

Sorry, we don't have a reference model here to take apart. Typically a trim piece snaps off to expose screws when no screws are otherwise apparent. It requires a bit of detective work to dismantle these things, assuming that they were designed to be serviced. Some products are sealed up tight with the idea that they will not be servicable.
