Usually the best way to install a door gasket is to soak it in hot water, before you put it on, so it will be soft. You might want to do 3 things to insure that you get a good seal. One is make sure the front of the refrigerator is higher then the rear, so when you let go of the door, it closes by itself, the second thing is if the gasget is a little rigid, get you blow dryer out, and softenen it up a little. Also an old trick to get some vaseline, and put a thin coat all around the gasket, where it hits the frame of the refrigerator, and that will keep it a littly stickey, so the gasget magnet can magnatize the metal, and create a good seal. Then in a week, you can wipe it off. Tom www.applianceeducator.com
