If anyone can help I would really appreciated, My Frigidaire Refrigerator Model# FRS22ZGH, stop cooling but the light inside works and the Freezer work great, I took the back panel off and clean and Vacuum all the dust, I also took the inside Panel and I notice Heavy frost build-up on the coil and the vent from the Freezer to the Refrigerator was plug up with ice , I clean out all the food on both sides and lift the door open to Defrost the ice build up on the coil and the vent and unplug the refrigerator, My question is; Does this mean that the defrost timer went out ? or the control temperature ?
how can I tell?

please help, we are tired eating out every morning noon and night.

Thanks Rich5112

depending on the (2) missing last characters of your model number,
this could be your Wiring Diagram. (ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Anderson/218909400.pdf)

It certainly is a Defrost problem, but chances are it's not a bad Defrost Timer, but either the Heater Element or the Defrost Terminator Switch.

Thank you RegUS-Patoff, for replying back so soon to my question, I double check the Model number and it looks like I was only missing " O" after H Model # FRS22ZGHO, I lift the panel off and plug-in Refrigerator last night after it got all defrosted and let it run all night until this morning, I check to see if any frost was building up on the coil but it look really good, only little bite of frost was on the coil ( which I hope that's normal). I don't think it fixed it self or do you think the cleaning and Defrosting help ? I just don't want to buy food and find out I got to throw it away because it got plugged up again. How can I deterred if it's the heater Element or Defrost terminator Switch ?
It sound like this is going to be out of my hand when you get into the Schematic which I don't know anything about but tell me what I need to to do or check, I'll be waiting.

I was just going to buy a Defrost timer, thank God I didn't, I love this website, it's so nice to have handy and to get a 2nd opinion and it save me money.

You (or someone) would need a Volt/Ohm Meter to do some tests

If manually defrosted, it may run fine for a few weeks.

Okay, I got Volt/Ohm Meter, tell me what part I neec to check and if you got a schmatic to show me what the part looks like that would be a big help, I would need to know how to read Volt/Ohm Meter when doing the test.

waiting for your reply, Thanks
