Maytag model LAT8714AAE first problem the washer would get to the cycle where it filled and then stopped. This happened on all cycles except delicate..delicate cycle worked fine. I noticed a burn mark on the timer and observed a sparking when I manually turned the timer. Thought it was getting an overload of some sort from the lid switch..so I replaced that whole unit. Now the machine will go all the way through the cycle till time for the water to dump/rinse/spin. This happens on all cycles except the delicate again. Where do I start looking for the problem??

Does the wash Motor make noise (humming) when it doesn't want to work ?

Nope..machine does not make any noise...just sits there (full of water) till I move the dial to the rinse/spin delicate cycle..then it runs just fine

Is there a part called a connector or did you mean there could be a loose or bad connection.
