The tub will fill , but during agitation water leaks onto the ground. Gotta be the tub seal. How do you remove the inner drum and seal to replace?

Amana washer I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number (and possibly its manufacturing MFG number as well). If you post that information we can at least look it up to see what appliance design you're dealing with.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

during agitation water leaks onto the ground. Gotta be the tub seal. I suggest you not jump to conclusions. Try to ascertain *exactly* where the leak is originating from before doing anything else.

How do you remove the inner drum and seal to replace? That is impossible to say until we know which exact washer design is involved. If it is one of Amana's popular designs, there are special tools required and it is an *extremely* big job, one of the very worst to do! Most novices would be well advised to avoid even attempting it.

Sorry about not having adequate info. Model # NAV5800AWW. Serial # 10116922EG. It is leaking from the seal, I put it on blocks and with a flashlight I can see water coming from below where the seal would be.

The part is $65, which I can understand for a bearing and seal kit. But the two tools required are $89 and $30  That's a kick in the nuts. I am a washing machine novice but am pretty handy. I can fabricate my own tools from looking at the pictures. I just need to know the sequence of actions required. Any help would be appreciated

It's gonna come apart - whether it is with a special tool or with a sledgehammer. ;)

I just need to know the sequence of actions required. The instructions at the following link should cover most of that repair job.
