I have a hotpoint tumble dryer and the belt has come of its idler pulley how do I put it back on???? Please help

The idler pulley is there to place tension on the belt. It is on tension spring of some sort. Determine which way to move it so that it exerts pressure to return to its resting state. Whichever direction that is, that is the direction it should push on the belt. Then place the belt under the pulley and you should be back in business.
Now just in case my description isn't clear, think about it this way. The belt should be taught. What could you do with the idler pulley that would achieve that result.
