Refrigerator Door swings open too far, too fast

I have a new maytag fridge, its leveled to tilt back slightly but when you open the door even a third of the way it continues to swing open and im afraid one day the hinges will bend or break. Any ideas how to stop it from swinging wildly? Thanks. You can e-mail me at krnyr@hotmail.com also.

The hinges are probably adjustable. Loosen the screws securing one hinge and then slide it in or out a little. This will change the angle of the door a bit.

Also, place a level on top of the fridge and check it from front to back and side-to-side. It should be level in both directions or this could also lead to the problem you describe.
