Help-water spill onto an outlet

This morning, my wife (it really was my wife and not me :) ) reached for her alarm clock and knocked over a cup of water. The water spilled onto her alarm clock plugin. The power went out in the room. When I checked the circuit in the basement, I saw that the one for our bedroom was in the middle position. I flipped it to the "Off" position and then flipped it all the way back to the "On" position. Still no power. Am I in trouble? My guess was that there might still be water in the outlet, so I should just let it dry out and then try switching it to "Off" and then back to "On." I left it switched to "Off" before heading off to work.

Unplug the clock, then try turning on the breaker. It may be that the water damaged the clock. (of course, by now, the receptacle should be dry)
