Bad Outlet?

My garbage disposer quit working and I have determined that the outlet it was plugged into has no power (using a tester).

How do I determine if the problem is the switch, the outlet or the wiring? Seems odd that it would just stop working.

BTW, I did test and reset the GFCI.

DOH! It was a breaker - must be all by itself because I didn't notice anything else not working. You can tell, I'm a novice. :rolleyes:
