I have a GE Side-by-Side Model No.GSS25LGMA BB. Refrigerator that for some reason just loves to freeze everything in the Frig side. It has a Digital thermostat, that I have adjusted up and down to all settings (as the manual says) - the optimum temp setting is 5 - but at that temp it freezes eggs solid in about a day. There is NO difference if the frig is full or not. I make sure there is nothing in front of the vents. Any clues as to what to try next??

Is it freezing exactly the same from top to bottom? Or is it localized to a certain area? Also try this test for leaky door seals. Test the freezer and fridge. Here is a link.

it freezes things on all shelves. There are 4. I haven't noticed anything on the doors( milk, juice, sauces) But the lettuce and apples freeze in the drawers. I checked the door seals and they are tight. In fact, at times if you open one side up then close it, then immediately try to open the other, it acts as if it has a vacuum seal and won't open right away. But with constant pressure it comes open. Hope that helps.........I appreciate your help........ :)

Does adjusting the cold control make any difference at all? You could have a bad cold control causing the problem. Does the refrigerator seem to run for an extremely long time?
Here's a link (http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/freezer/check/tempcontrol.php) describing how to test the cold control
