The push-on connectors seem so much more convenient, but I would like to hear from some folks with real experience, especially if there are safety concerns. Thanks.

Hmmmmmm, now you have me curious. What exactly is a push-on connector? Is there a website that shows this item?

I have seen several brands. Try Wall-Nuts or P-Nuts on Google.

Well I'll be! I've never seen these critters before. I will do some more research on these, thanks!

A friend of mine, who is a Union electrician, said these work great but they are cost prohibitive. Around a quarter a piece. Might not sound like much but you figure 3 nuts per box over the course of an entire house, you are getting in to quite a bit of money. For small projects, he would recommend them but not to do an entire new construction.

After reading this post, I did a little searching and found some on Ebay. THey come in 2/12, 4/12 and 6/12 from the same seller. I might have to order some to try them out.....
If you add shipping, it will work out to more than 8 cents each but it is certainly less than the 25 cents in the previous post....

I was at the local lumber/hardware store (Menard's) and needed some wire nuts. Lo and behold were the Wago Wall-Nuts. They were $5.99 for a package of 100 of the 4/12 vs $6.39 for the 100 of the regular wire nuts (red ones). I bought a package and now I need to find a project so I can try them out....

Outdoor BBQ? As opposed to an indoor one?
