I have a strange problem going on with my home's electical system. When I use my stove and oven it drains the power from the electrical outlets, lighting and washing machine. The power cuts out and slowly builds up. The lights are dim then the build back up. Only some of the house is effectived. The real problem is the my thremosat for my home's heating units is on the same line and their is no power to trip the heater on. Please advise, it's getting cold in Kentucky.

This sounds like a problem beyond most DIY'ers abilities. I recommend consulting a qualifed/licensed electrician for this one. It may even be a problem with your electrical service. You may try calling the power company first to see if they are having problems with the electrical portion that they are responsible for. That way, you won't have the expense of a service call from an electric company. However, if the power company's lines/equipment are good, then you should call a reputable electrician to troubleshoot this problem.
