Kenmore Ultra Wash Doesn't Start

I have installed a dishwasher, everything is hooked up, but it won't start. Right now it has a spec of light above Pots/Pans, Quick Rinse, Hi Temp Wash, and Air Dry bubble buttons.

If I push Normal Wash and a dry cycle they light up and as soon as I press start they go off...... Nothing happens.

The only thing it will do is make a motor noise when I press Cancel/Drain button.


The only other thing it has done is flash the lights over Quick Rinse and Cancel/Drain button.

I just went and checked my dishwasher, the only thing I saw was that if I didnt close the door all the way it does that. does the door make a chrisp clicking noise when you shut it

So you have power since it lights up. Are you sure you turned the water supply back on after hooking it up? After you close the door securely, you should be able to pull on the door and it should not rattle, that would be a good sign that it is closed properly. Next up, starting any cycle begins with it filling with water. If that doesn't happen and there is water pressure and you didn't pinch the water line by sliding the DW onto the hose, then I'd call the manufacturer for their assessment. It could be an electronic failure on the internal board which commonly shows up on the first couple of uses.
