I've had a new faucet/sink installed about 1 year ago. When I turn off the water with my ball type faucet it seems to continue releasing water until a small drip, then stops. Which lasts about 10 to 15 seconds. What could the problem here?

if it stops leaking after 10 to 15 sec i probably wouldnt worry about it but if it keeps driping i would replace the seats and springs sounds like you have a delta faucet thanks master plumber terry

Thanks Terry, You are right on, it's a Delta. Master plumber indeed!
The faucet does stop.
Are the seats and springs hard to replace?

lisa not hard at all first thing you do is take handle off by using a small alen wrench 2nd thing unscrew ball assembly use channel locks 3rd thing you will pull out a plastic ball asembly 4rd you will use a small phillip head screw driver to pull out the seats and springs there will be two one on each side pull those out install new spring and seats you can buy the spring and seats at hardware for 4.00 dollars put them in the same way you took old ones out then put plastic ball asembly back screw metal ball assembly back put handle back on this should take care of problem and save you 85.00 plumbing fee thanks terry
