Hi my Kenmore washing maching decided to go on strike last night, right when it was full of water. How in God's name am I gonna get that water out other than old fashioned bailing? The washer will not operate at any cycle, something electrical other than the timer is going bad cause it makes buzzing sound from the back then clicks off and I smell something that's getting too hot. Time for new washer anyways, this one's old. But I need to drain it first.

Mabe you could siphon it out the back door with a garden hose and put the clothes in a bucket. There will always be a little water left in the lower end of the drain hose and the pump.

Use a hose to siphon the water. You can run it outside or if that isn't convenient down a nearby sink. The drain line for the washer is right behind the washer, that is another good place to drain the water.
