Some posting tips to help you get quicker and more valuable replies:
1. Be sure to post under the correct category. The number one reason for not getting timely replies to your questions is because the they are posted under the wrong category.
This forum, "General Discussion" is for discussion about the forums and the site itself. If you are unsure about the correct forum, try one that fits closest to what you think your problem is. If you are having problems with your microwave overn tripping a circuit breaker, try posting that question in the Electrical Repair section rather than the Appliance Repair section.
2. Post as many details as possible. When posting about an appliance, the make and model should be included. Try to be specific and clear about any troubleshooting you have already performed, and what the results were. ("I've tried everything and it still doesn't work" won't help you get good advice).
3. Use a good thread title. Good examples are "Washing Machine doesn't drain", "Refrigerator fails to cool", "PC won't boot" and "Circuit breaker keeps tripping".
If anybody else has tips for good posts, let's hear them!
