dryer catches fabric in the drum.

The dryer drum catches the fabric and then scorches the fabric where it is caught. Any suggestions of what I can to?

The dryer probably has a guard along the edge of the drum that protects clothes from getting caught. That guard may be damaged or loose.

Also the baffles, the fins that stick into the drum, can become cracked and snag fabric in there. Run your hands carefully over them and feel for places where fabric can snag.
