i hope someone can help me. I have a light that is controlled by both an upstairs and downstairs switch. I recently changed the upstairs switch and now if i use the downstairs switch the light will come on and using the upstairs switch the light will go off (duh) but if i the go back down stairs and flick the switch nothing happens. The downstairs switch is wired: red-com, black-l1, black and red-l2. The upstairs switch is wired:red-com, black - l1, black - l2. I believe i may have to transpose a wire on the upstairs switch. Now the good part, how do i find which wire to transpose, i have borrowed a multimeter from a friend (he has no idea how to use it and has no instructions), I have absolutely no idea how to use it (mastech m-830b). Can anyone tell me where to put the red and black leads, what to set the meter to and what to do with it. Assistance greatly appreciated.
