The compressor that is at the bottom of my freezer has a black hose attached to it . I do not know if this is a drain hose or a freon supply line. This hose is freezing up. If this is a freon supply line does it mean that there is too much freon or not enough freon? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

It's probably the freon after it's been pressurized returning to the evaporator coils in the freezer. Under the right humidity , ice can form on the exterior like it forms on the coils in the freezer. The auto defroster removes this ice and the ice on your pipe should melt when your compressor isn't runing. If the freezer is still working properly it shouldn't be a problem.
