On the inside of my Kenmore microwave Model 565.60586000 there is a round plastic cover with a small fan inside. It is (was) held in place with tiny, fragile plastic clips. These were broken off when a large bowl was bumped against it.
The microwave was manufactured in 2000 and parts are no longer available! About 5 years old is when you start needing parts! The guy at the Sears parts store said, just glue it in or buy a new one (microwave). I tried to glue it in place and it sparks and arcs, so I took it out and scraped off the glue.
We are using it without the cover and fan. Is this harmful? Is there any other way to fix it. It makes me angry to think of purchasing a new one because of some 1/32" plastic clips.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
