A/C Outside Fan Motor

Seems my A/C unit fan motor is running continuously. Does not shut off even when I turn off the switch on my thermostat. I had to turn off the main power switch to be able to turn it off. What could possibly be the problem? Thanks for the response.

Well, first off, I'm wondering if this should be in the Appliance forum or not?

Either way, you didn't specifically indicate if it the condensor fan or blower fan.
If it is the condensor fan, you may have a fan relay sticking or if the blower fan, possibly a bad thermostat (not likely though).

Are the A/C compressors engaging?
