Dishwasher Motor starts then stops

I recently replaced the motor and pump assembly on my kenmore 665 but now when i start the dishwasher up the motor runs in wash mode for about 3 seconds and then switches itself off. Any ideas? (so far as i can tell, the motor is rotating just fine and not jamming or anything ... its a new unit so it ought to!)

I have a Kenmore dishwasher. It's about 4 yearsld. It recently started making a whirring noise throughout the whole dishwasher cyle, begining to end. I'm thinking about replacing the motor. It may also be that there is something clogging the system. I haven't checked this out yet. I'm curious why you replaced your motor. Also how much did it cost? Thankyou for your reply----Greg
