Hard pack installed

I just installed a "Hard Pack" and fridge is working great...runs and cools but I now notice when it shuts off there is a humming noise from the compressor. Is this normal with the "Hard Pack" or is something else going. While it runs and at start up the fans are all working . When I shut it down manually with the temp adj, it still Humms.

I am not sure what the humming is. The new relay just gives the motor and extra jolt to start it up. It shouldn't hum as far as I know.

You might have to do a little detective work to narrow down the source of the sound.

Hi, I think I may need a hard start pack. Where can I get it, and how much? I have an old Coldspot refridge with 1/5 HP compressor. When power is on, it clicks but the compressor won't start. I checked the relay, it seems OK. I am not sure whether the overload is good or not. The overload sparks when power is on, the compressor is not warm. Do you think hard start pack will solve my problem?
