Default Ceiling Repair

How do you replicate the pattern of a ceiling when you patch the drywall? The pattern resembles a small mop or brush that was pressed to the surface.

This pattern is done with a mop-like brush. Depending upon the exact look, the brush will vary. But in general, a round brush with semi-stiff 4 inch bristles is pressed into the drywall compound and then pulled straight away. it leaves a sort of asterisk-like texture. Variations can include a twist before lifting, also the firmness of the drywall mud will change the look.
