continuously spinning washer

My washer basket spins while in the agitating cycle. I think it needs a new transmission (?) I've replaced 4 broken damping straps. It's a 7 year old GE profile. Is this worth trying to repair or is it time for a new washer?

Transmission repairs are not easy and we usually recommend professional repair. Plus, they are expensive. Replacing the entire transmission is also expensive. Even though the unit is only 7 years old, if you think the trans is shot, I'd replace rather than repair.
