proline fan oven problem

When starting my oven , the fan works , the grill works, but the red light at the back of the oven does not come on and the oven does not heat up . any help appreciated martin

Turn off the circuit breaker and then remove the heating element. Test it with a multimeter for resistance (it may be labeled with the exact resistance to test for). If you get an infinite reading the element is bad. Also check the terminals that connect to the element to make sure they are clean and can conduct current.
