Unhappy My DVD rewriter doesn't work

I am new on this forum, Can someoen help me please?
Foolishly, I connected the power supply with my DVD rw up side down and now its gone in complete failure i.e even light doesn't turn on.
Is it repairable now, or what should i do????Any help?

My guess, if you turned it on, then you have fried your DVD rw's internal logic circuits. probably not repairable.

Generally, connectors are designed to fit only in the correct orientation. If you forced the power connector in, then I fear the worst.
