I was minding my own business when I discovered the wash water from my washing machine emptied into my toilet and filled my tub. The toilet had sudsy water in it, and the tub appears to have accumulated hair in the dirty water.
When I plunged toilet, water and hair came out each time of thing on top of tub faucet. What to do? Can I use "Mr. Plumber" liquid in tub, even 'though it is half filled? Bathroom is right next to laundry room. Woman alone, totally ignorant! ![]() |

The water line is clogged not right at the toilet or tub, but farther down the line. The Wash water can't get past it and so filled the line and backed up to the tub and toilet. This isn't a job for Liquid Plumber. You need to run a drain snake, or my favorite a blow bag conencted to a garden hose.
