Question refrigator water leaking from door

my daughters refrig is leaking water from the door I think it is a GE, can you pull the front of the water ice maker from the front of the door to see if anything is loose ?

are you sure that's where it's leaking from ..

or possibly a Defrost/Drain issue ..


a model number would be helpful...

It is a GE model numberGSS201EMBWW. the water is coming out the bottom of the door.

Is it actually coming out of the door itself or just maybe out of the cabinet *through* the freezer door, seeping by the door seal?

The latter could be caused by a plugged defrost water drain. Any signs of ice in the bottom of the freezer compartment?

what I need to know if the water is not coming from a blocked defrost line is how do you remove the cover on the door where the water and ice dispenser is .

well went over and it is leaking from the door took the button that says water and hit the ice button and water stopped leaking but no water is going to the ice maker, so where are we know ?

sorry what I mean that on the front of the icemaker/water dispenser there are 3 buttons water,cube ice/crushed ice if you push either ice button with the water turned on to the frige, no water leaks but if you press the water button it starts leaking from the door.
